We are committed to offering additional academic and holistic supports during the summer of 2021 to continue addressing the needs of students and families that the pandemic has magnified. We will be offering a free, in-person six week Jefferson Success Academy to accelerate student learning for incoming 4th-6th grade students in the Jefferson Area schools (Edgewater Elementary, Lumberg Elementary and Molholm Elementary). This model of extended learning opportunities with small groups of students has been show to help students accelerate their learning

We are looking for teachers to join us for this summer program. Our goal is to hire six teachers and one site coordinator. It’s a priority to hire staff who will honor the life experiences and cultural backgrounds of students and families in our area.

Two teachers will co-teach a classroom of 15 students for each grade. We will be utilizing the i-Ready curriculum from Curriculum Associates to provide personalized support in math and reading for students. This curriculum monitors student progress and allows teachers to group students by their learning strengths and gaps. The Site Coordinator will provide leadership for the daily activities of the program and guide the development of a caring learning community.
