Building Esperanza: The Next Chapter

Edgewater Collective is embarking on its most transformative milestone yet as Esperanza Collective. To launch this new chapter, expand our community initiatives, and bring Joel Newton back as Executive Director, we are launching a campaign to raise $75,000.

Over the years, our work alongside local Spanish-speaking families has proven that when a community has access to resources, mentorship, and opportunity, hope thrives. To meet the growing demand for our services, we need leadership that deeply understands our community and a foundation that allows our programs to reach even more families and community members.

Bringing Joel Newton back to lead Esperanza Collective unites proven leadership with a bold vision for growth. Under his direction, this $75,000 campaign will directly fund three vital priorities:

  • Executive Leadership: Re-establishing Joel Newton as Executive Director to oversee operations, guide strategic growth, and deepen partnerships across our community. This will build the financial foundation to hire a Latina Executive Director in the next 2-3 years.
  • Program Expansion: Building local networks of Latino family leaders in local schools across Jeffco, strengthening our support for Latina-led worker cooperatives, and training Latino leaders.
  • Community Reach: Listening to communities beyond Edgewater to see how we can partner with more Latino communities across Jeffco and work together for change.

How Your Gift Makes an Impact

  • $2,500 sponsors a full series of Latino leadership training programs.
  • $1,000 funds a series of family preparedness workshops to help families impacted by ICE raids.
  • $500 supports bookkeeping and back office support for a Latina-led worker cooperative.
  • $100 provides essential supplies and resources for Latino youth leadership programs.

Your investment today turns hope (esperanza) into tangible, lasting opportunity for local families.
