One of our milestones on the cradle to career pathway is that area students will graduate high school confident and competent for college or career. One of the important pieces of this journey is connecting junior and senior high students to career options while they are still in school. This fall we are helping Jefferson Junior/Senior High School teachers and staff find local business leaders who can attend various events at Jefferson and talk about their careers and educational journey. These events could be career fairs, panels or other opportunities for students to connect with careers. Some Jefferson students will be the first person in their family to graduate high school and go to college. If this was your experience, we would love for you to talk about how you made that transition.

If you are interested in engaging with these career events and opportunities at Jefferson, email Joel Newton (joel@edgewatercollective.org) and he will connect you with the right teachers and staff members.

Together we can help our local students leave Jefferson confident and competent for college or career!
