At the beginning of this year, we didn’t know what the future would look like without paid staff, but we were excited for the possibilities of our work truly becoming a collective effort. And it has!

Here’s a glimpse of what has been happening in Edgewater through the work of dedicated volunteers and community leaders:

Supporting Schools and Student Success

Supporting Community-Led Projects

  • The best projects take time to grow and the Jefferson Community Garden is a great example of that. We just finished our seventh season in the garden and community members played a huge role in keeping this project moving forward.
  • We helped support community events like the Edgewater Zero Waste Talk and the Edgewater Harvest Festival at the Orum House. With proceeds from these events we started the Edgewater Sustainability Fund and the Edgewater Historical Fund to support community-led efforts in our community.

Supporting Edgewater Businesses

We are so thankful for the community leaders and volunteers who invested many hours in these projects! This truly is a collective effort to create a thriving Edgewater for all!
