We know that not all children and families can make it to the Jeffco Public Schools Summer Lunch Site at Jefferson Junior/Senior High School. Thanks to a generous grant from the City of Lakewood we will be organizing Lunch and Learn sites for children at apartment complexes in the 80214 area of Lakewood. The lunches will be prepared by locally-owned Lakewood restaurants in the 80214 area.

We also received a grant to pair these lunch sites with literacy lessons led by area teachers. Teachers will be paid a stipend and lessons would be for kindergarten through 3rd grade students.

We are looking for teachers from Edgewater Elementary, Lumberg Elementary or Molholm Elementary to help lead these literacy lessons. Email joel@edgewatercollective.org if you are interested in being part of the planning discussion.
