Jefferson Community Plan is Released

Durante el verano, el Equipo Directivo de Jefferson, compuesto por 18 miembros de la comunidad (educadores, personal, padres y líderes estudiantiles), se reunió regularmente para elaborar el plan para el futuro de la Escuela Secundaria/Preparatoria Jefferson.

Durante el verano, el Equipo Directivo abordó los siguientes temas:

• Presupuesto y dotación de personal
• Programa bilingüe de 7.º a 12.º grado
• Orientaciones profesionales
• Programación de la escuela secundaria
• Sistemas y estructuras (escuelas comunitarias y escuelas de innovación)

Esta propuesta de plan comunitario es el resultado de las conversaciones mantenidas durante el verano, considerando los comentarios de la comunidad en las reuniones comunitarias de primavera.

Estamos en conversaciones con los líderes del distrito para celebrar una reunión comunitaria para presentar estas ideas y recibir comentarios de la comunidad después del inicio del año escolar.

Over the summer, the Jefferson Steering Team of 18 community members (educators and staff, parents, and student leaders) met regularly to put together the plan for the future of Jefferson Junior/Senior High School. 

During the summer, the Steering Team discussed the following topics: 

• Budget and staffing
• 7th-12th grade bilingual program
• Career pathways
• Junior high programming
• Systems and structures (community schools and innovations schools)

This community plan proposal is the product of these conversations over the summer taking into consideration community feedback from the spring community meetings.

We are in conversations with district leaders about holding a community meeting to present these ideas and receive feedback from the community sometime after the start of the school year.
