Edgewater Collective Executive Director Joel Newton, Grant Babb and Dave Bergen of Joyride Brewing

Since we launched in March 2013, we have been drawn to businesses and community members who love Edgewater. As Joyride Brewing Company was starting to renovate the former pawn shop at 25th and Sheridan, I met one of the co-owners Grant Babb. I was excited by his desire to get involved in the community and bring people together in their brewery. I soon learned that Grant and his family lived in Edgewater and they sent their children to school in Edgewater.

Since then Grant has joined our board and took part in the Jefferson Saint Tank competition in 2014. Joyride Brewing has been a generous supporter of our work in the schools and played a key role in the numerous community events that we have organized in Edgewater.

In honor of their generous support of schools, we presented Grant and Joyride Brewing Company with a small trophy as a token of thanks.
