It’s that time of year again! Educators and students are back at school, and it’s our time to continue supporting their learning.

Last school year, we launched a School Support Team at Lumberg Elementary with community partners, and now we are ready to include our other two schools in the Jefferson Area!

We would like to invite you to our first combined School Support Teams meeting on Monday, September 16 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Jefferson Junior/Senior High School. We’ll eat dinner together, hear from each school principal, and break out into School Support Teams to see how we can help each school.

What are School Support Teams?

A School Support Team is a group of school staff, parents, community members, local organizations, and business leaders that meet quarterly to support a local school. The school principal presents needs and opportunities at the school and the School Support Team works collaboratively to meet those needs and opportunities. 

School Support Teams can support their local schools by providing volunteers, supporting teacher appreciation activities, spreading the word to the community about the great work happening at the school and much more!


2024-2025 School Year Meetings

Here’s the schedule for this school year: 

  • Monday, September 16 – 5:30-7 p.m. at Jefferson Jr/Sr High School
  • Monday, November 18 – 5:30-7 p.m. at Jefferson Jr/Sr High School
  • Monday, February 10 – 5:30-7 p.m. at Jefferson Jr/Sr High School
  • Monday, April 21 – 5:30-7 p.m. at Jefferson Jr/Sr High School
