One of our first tasks is making sure that we are all working toward the same goals on this cradle to career pathway. This week our three Working Groups (Kindergarten Readiness, K-12 Academic Success and College and Career Readiness) met to decide upon goals and the results have been exciting!

Instead of copying goals from other cities, our Working Groups contextualized the goals to our students and families. Teachers brought their experience teaching dual language classrooms to the table and we were able to decide upon goals that apply to all children.

Next Thursday our Community Partners will meet to finalize these goals and start the conversation around which data indicators will show that we are succeeding in those goals.
