Family Leadership Council
Our Family Council meetings are the third Tuesday of each month and give families an opportunity to support our local schools and create solutions to needs in the community. All meetings will feature simultaneous interpretation in English and Spanish and the voices of our Spanish-speaking families will be centered in the conversations. For too long, the voices of our Spanish-speaking families have been marginalized and we want to be purposeful about changing that sad reality.
October Edgewater Collective Family Council Meeting
Tuesday, October 19 from 8:30-10 a.m.
Coffee and burritos at 8:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 9 a.m.
At Edgewater Community Church (2497 Fenton Street, Edgewater)
The meeting is open to families whose children attend Edgewater Elementary, Lumberg Elementary, Molholm Elementary and/or Jefferson Junior/Senior High.
We will be listening to family leadership from ELPASO Movement about how they worked with their school district to make school meals more healthy and cultural relevant.
