Let’s support immigrants. Become a house party co-host!
We are looking for co-hosts for our upcoming Fiestas en casa (house parties) to build awareness and fundraise for our work with Latino, immigrant communities in Jefferson County.
With everything happening at the national level, immigrants in our communities are afraid. Now it is the time to mobilize and ensure our neighbors have access to programs and spaces where they feel safe and can thrive. As we start the new school year, our hope is to expand our work connecting with immigrants across Jefferson County.
Our goal is to plan house parties in July, August, and September across Jefferson County.
Here are the roles of the co-hosts:
- Provide space for the house party (living room or outdoor space that can hold 15-25 people)
- Invite friends, family, coworkers that would be interested in supporting immigrants in Jefferson County (Edgewater Collective will promote the house party too)
- Introduce Edgewater Collective staff
- Ask people to support Edgewater Collective by donating and/or volunteering
Edgewater Collective staff will:
- Help with setup and cleanup
- Help promote the event
- Provide food, drinks, and supplies
If you are interested in being a co-host, email Joel Newton at joel@edgewatercollective.org.
We’ll also keep you updated on upcoming Fiestas en casa, so you can join us and invite your friends. Together we can ensure that our Latino, immigrant neighbors feel safe and supported in Jefferson County!
