Jefferson Success Academy: Summer 2024

Jefferson Success Academy is a free, four week summer school program focused on increasing students’ math skills along with engaging enrichment activities and project-based learning. Classes of no more than 15 students will be led by licensed teachers. Jefferson Success Academy is open to current 3rd-5th grade students from Edgewater Elementary and Lumberg Elementary.

Jefferson Success Academy will be held at Edgewater Elementary School this summer.

Curriculum

Our experienced and talented teachers will be working together to develop lesson plans that meet the needs of students in their classroom. The program will begin with an assessment which will show where students need to grow in their math skills. Then teachers will work together to help students improve in those areas. Our program will be focused on improving students’ skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Mastering these math skills will build confidence in students.

Program Details

• The program runs from June 3-28.
• The program starts at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 11:45 a.m.
• Breakfast and lunch are provided for free by Jeffco Public Schools.
• If students have their school-issued Chromebook, they should bring it with them each day. If they don’t have a school-issued Chromebook, we will have Chromebooks available for use.
• Bus transportation to Edgewater is not providing by the district this summer.
