We are so close to our $50,000 goal for the end of July that we thought we would extend our drive into extra innings to reach the goal.
Our hope is to raise the remaining $4,912 by Friday, August 8. We have already raised $45,088 this year! Thank you so much for giving generously to our work!
What will this money go towards?
As we look at our fall projects, we believe it is time to hire a part-time Program Assistant to help with our projects at Lumberg Elementary. We are in conversation with staff at Lumberg Elementary School about helping them organize an after school program featuring homework help from our Reading Buddies and enrichment options. This program would run Monday through Friday from 2:45-4:30 pm.
Having a part-time Program Assistant will also free up our Executive Director Joel Newton to focus on our Community Partners and developing the cradle to career pathway.
If we reach our $50,000 goal by August 8, we will start looking to hire this Program Assistant and further develop this project at Lumberg.
