Thanks to generous donors we are able to start a Community Cooking Class in the Jefferson Community Center this summer. Tania Fonseca, the Family Engagement Liaison at Jefferson Junior/Senior High School, will be leading the class.
The class will run on Thursdays from June 7 to July 12 starting at 9 am in the Jefferson Community Center inside Jefferson Junior/Senior High School (2305 Pierce Street).
This will be a hands on and interactive class. During the class participants will learn to prepare some of Tania’s favorite summer meals. Tania will prepare a weekly dish for all to taste and participants will also be provided with the ingredients. During each class the meal will be prepared as a group so each participant can bring a meal home for their family.
There are only 10 family spots to fill, so please reserve your spot for a class full of laughter, love, community and yummy food too! RSVP at https://goo.gl/forms/mFGXuPiyqAI2zH4W2
Our goal is to get input from families that attend this class to see what other classes they would like to see offered this summer in the community center. You can help expand the community center programs this summer by helping us reach our $10,000 goal. We have already raised $2,200.
