Volunteer opportunity description: Like to get your hands dirty? Want to learn more about organic gardening, and help beautify and feed your community at the same time? Well, we have the volunteer opportunity for you!!
Jovial Concepts’, Jovial Gardens Program has 34 garden plots which have been donated by residents in Edgewater, Lakewood, and Wheat Ridge. Over 90% of the harvested produce will be donated to the local food-insecure. We are in tremendous need of more volunteers to help maintain, and harvest each plot through November. We are currently open to scheduling individuals, and groups of any size.
Volunteer responsibilities include:
- Picking produce
- Removing weeds
- General garden maintenance
Volunteer opportunity suitable for: All Ages/Groups
Time Commitment: This volunteer opportunity is suitable for everyone. We are in the gardens on Saturdays from 10am – 3pm. Although, the full five hours are not required, it is preferable. We also offer incentives for our volunteers who have worked in the gardens at least 10 hours. We are also in need of volunteers on Wednesdays
